Amara Evering

Amara Evering is a radio journalist, writer, and storyteller. She served as a lead journalist and host on WPFW FM’s acclaimed morning show, Monday Morning QB. Her work has appeared in WLRN and Community.Wire. In 2021, she was awarded the Alice Rowan Swanson Fellowship to produce the original radio series, “For Ama”. She was recognized for her coverage of the LGBTQ organizations in Southern Florida, Hurricane Melissa, and her extended interview with legendary poet Sonia Sanchez. Currently, she is in the process of publishing her first novel “Flooded Waters”.
