Amara Evering is a radio journalist, writer, and storyteller. She served as a lead journalist and host on WPFW FM’s acclaimed morning show, Monday Morning QB. In 2021, she was awarded the Alice Rowan Swanson Fellowship to write and produce the original radio series, “For Ama”. She was recognized for her coverage of the Evanston reparations program, immigrant detention in Libya, and her extended interview with legendary poet Sonia Sanchez. Currently, she is in the process of publishing her first novel “Flooded Waters”.
